What is CDI Desalination
CDI technology has been developed, over the last 10 years.
Process modules – 10,000 L/day to 240,000 L /day modules
Expansion of modules to larger scale – Projects for > 5ML /day
This technology uses a hybrid electrode comprised of carbon nano materials and a semi permeable coating.
Water runs between the charged electrodes (+ & -) the membranes and electrodes collect the polluting ions, which are taken off with the waste water when the power is switched off in a regular programmed sequence that makes the process continuous.
Purified water collected separately and can be recycled to purity level set in the control unit.
90% purification, 80% recovery obtained.
The company was established to pursue specialized desalination technology applications in a process developed from the original capacitive deionization technology developed in US Universities and technology companies in the 1980’s.
